ABOUT THE ROLE
As the shop manager at Urban Xpress, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our store. Reporting directly to the owner, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient store operations, implementing sales strategies, and driving customer satisfaction. This role is key to maintaining our standard of excellence and enhancing the Urban Xpress customer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory, and staff scheduling.
Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and store policies.




Implement strategies to improve sales and store performance.
Monitor inventory levels and liaise with suppliers for timely restocking.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a skilled manner.
Train and develop staff to enhance performance, product knowledge, and customer service skills.
Oversee merchandising and display standards to optimise the store layout.
Prepare and manage budgets, financial records, and reports.
Coordinate with the owner on marketing strategies to promote new products and store events.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A candidate with at least 1 year of experience in a similar retail management role is required.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced retail environment.
