Harrisons Restaurant is looking for an experienced and motivated
Assistant Manager
to join our team at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in hospitality, enjoys developing people and understands what it takes to deliver an exceptional restaurant experience.
Working alongside the restaurant leadership team, you will play an key role in the
day-to-day success of Harrisons
, balancing outstanding guest service with strong operational and commercial performance.
The role
As Assistant Manager, you will be actively involved in the daily operation of the restaurant and will lead by example on the floor. You will be available Tuesday to Saturday - includes evenings, business closed each Sunday and Monday.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, supporting and motivating the Front of House team
Overseeing daily restaurant operations and service
Ensuring consistently high standards of guest service
Managing daily budgets and operational costs
Overseeing procurement, ordering and stock management
Supporting staff recruitment, training, development and performance
Maintaining restaurant presentation and operational standards




Working with the leadership team to improve efficiency and profitability
Helping create an environment where both guests and team members have an exceptional experience
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
An experienced hospitality professional with strong Front of House knowledge and at least 2-years in a leadership role
Confident leading a team in a busy restaurant environment
Hands-on and willing to be actively involved in service
Organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing budgets
A strong communicator and natural team leader
Professional, reliable and committed to high standards
