At Scalabrini Communities, we're creating communities where residents, families and our people feel valued, respected and supported. If you're a hands‐on professional who enjoys working independently, maintaining high standards and creating welcoming, well‐maintained environments, we'd love to hear from you!
This is an opportunity to work across our villages, providing painting and decorating services that help keep our communities looking their best. You'll work autonomously across different sites, with a fully maintained company van provided to support travel between locations.
Salary Packaging - enjoy the financial benefits of working for a not‐for‐profit organisation.
Additional 6 days of leave each year.
Be part of a 4+ year Employer of Choice, recognised for innovation and our commitment to our people.
Enjoy variety and independence in a role where you can manage your daily tasks and take pride in your work.
Make a meaningful difference by creating fresh, comfortable and welcoming environments for our residents.
Company van provided – a fully maintained vehicle to transport your tools and materials between our villages.
What you'll do
You'll play an important role in maintaining the presentation, quality and upkeep of our villages. Working independently across multiple locations, you'll deliver high-quality painting and decorating services while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a professional standard.
Your day-to-day will include:
Completing interior and exterior painting, decorating and surface maintenance across our villages.
Preparing surfaces, including sanding,
patching, minor plaster repairs and other preparation work, to achieve high-quality finishes.
Performing touch‐ups, corrective painting and preventative protective coatings to maintain buildings, fixtures, fittings and other structures.
Managing and prioritising daily tasks in line with the scheduled painting programme and operational requirements.
Maintaining painting tools, equipment and the company van in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
Following workplace health and safety procedures, building requirements and relevant quality standards.
What you'll bring
Proven experience as a professional Painter, including residential interior and exterior painting.
Strong surface preparation and finishing skills, with excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
Knowledge of painting techniques and confidence using a range of painting tools and equipment.
The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
A reliable, punctual and professional approach, with robust time management skills.
A valid White Card (CPCCOHS****A or equivalent).
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety, safe manual handling and compliance with relevant procedures.
The following would also be highly regarded:
A Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or another relevant trade qualification.
Current Working at Heights or Elevated Work Platform (EWP/Boom Lift) tickets.
Previous experience in aged care, retirement living or a similar environment.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates initiative and understands that a well‐maintained environment contributes to residents' comfort, dignity and quality of life.
