Burnett Today is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional, or someone with a strong background in customer service and business development, to build relationships with local businesses and help them achieve their advertising and marketing goals.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing an established client base while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local businesses and advertisers.
Managing and growing an existing client portfolio.
Prospecting and generating new business through telephone and face-to-face sales.
Identifying opportunities to increase advertising and marketing spend. This includes online, social media and print advertising.
Working closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective advertising solutions.
Creating advertising concepts and campaigns designed to maximise customer response.
Providing exceptional customer service and account management.
Meeting and exceeding agreed sales targets.
Managing multiple clients, campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.




About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Previous sales, advertising, media or account management experience is highly regarded.
A current driver's licence and reliable motor vehicle.
Confidence and persistence in telephone and face-to-face sales.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
The ability to confidently cold call and develop new business.
Initiative, energy and self-motivation.
A positive and professional attitude.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
A genuine interest in helping local businesses succeed.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive base salary of $60,000–$70,000 + superannuation, plus commission and sales incentive structure for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
The successful applicant will have the chance to significantly increase their earnings through performance-based commission.
This is a role for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, chasing opportunities and seeing the results of their own efforts.
