Sport Integrity Manager – Victorian Institute of Sport - Affiantive Measure Disability
Sport Integrity Australia – Melbourne VIC
About the Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS)
A few stops along the number 12 tram route from the CBD of Melbourne, within the leafy surrounds of Albert Park, the Victorian Institute of Sport stands.
Housed within a refurbished 146-year-old red-brick grandstand, the VIS supports scholarship athletes from every corner of Victoria, serving as an indicator of the level of participation and overall vitality of sports across the state, and is an institution that is unmistakably Melburnian.
It is certainly more accurate, though, to say that the VIS and Victoria go together.
Approximately a third of the 450 athletes who train out of the VIS are drawn from regional Victoria or areas just outside of the state. The VIS is an Internationally recognised Olympic & Paralympic training facility, that houses state of the art equipment and innovative, world-leading technology for Victoria's best athletes to thrive on the world stage. The VIS facility underwent a renovation in ****, with staff enjoying open plan spaces, plenty of natural light and modern ergonomic workstations supporting health and wellbeing in the workplace.
From Hamilton in the far-west to Bright in the north and Lakes Entrance in the east, Victoria's aspiring Olympians and Paralympians have access to the holistic suite of services that the VIS provides.
The VIS may be housed in Melbourne but is unmistakably Victorian.
The Sport Integrity Manager - VIS will be employed by Sport Integrity Australia and seconded to work within the VIS to create a fair and safe high-performance environment for staff, coaches and athletes through robust sport integrity practices. Getting to know the Sport Integrity Australia
Sport Integrity Australia leads the Australian government's efforts to protect sport against threats to its integrity – doping, competition manipulation and the mistreatment and abuse of sports participants. Sport Integrity Australia is the cornerstone of the government's comprehensive sport integrity strategy: Safeguarding the Integrity of Sport. Our role is to provide advice and assistance to counter the use of prohibited substances and methods in sport, stop the abuse of children and other persons in a sporting environment, cease manipulation of sporting competitions and to protect members of sporting organisations and other persons in a sporting environment from bullying, intimidation, discrimination or harassment. Sporting organisations, and other stakeholders, benefit from the ability to deal with a single nationally coordinated organisation to address all sport integrity issues. Sport Integrity Australia offers guidance on integrity matters to sports that don't have developed integrity capabilities. Our focus is policy development, intelligence, investigations (primarily of doping cases), education, outreach and capability building. We are Australia's National Anti-Doping Organisation.
