We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our allied health team. You'll work alongside psychologists, speech pathologists and allied health assistants. Our psychiatrists and paediatricians hold diagnostic responsibility. You'll deliver sessions in person at our East Melbourne clinic, via telehealth, and in the community, with a caseload spanning children through to adults. This role is for someone who owns their caseload. Our operations team handles bookings, billing and admin. Clinical follow-through is yours: tracking client progress, following up between sessions, contacting families, carers and other providers, and making sure nothing falls through the gaps. You won't wait to be prompted.
Key responsibilities
Conduct functional capacity assessments (FCAs) for children and adults, in clinic, via telehealth, and in nearby community settings.
Write clear, evidence-based functional reports to support NDIS access requests, plan reviews and Disability Support Pension (DSP) applications.
Deliver ongoing OT intervention for clients with ADHD, ASD and related conditions, both on-site and via telehealth.
Develop individualised therapy and capacity-building plans, and adjust them as clients progress.
Work collaboratively with allied health assistants, including setting programs and reviewing progress.
Proactively follow up clients between sessions and elevate clinical concerns early.
Collaborate with psychologists, speech pathologists, psychiatrists and paediatricians through case conferences and team meetings.
Partner with parents, carers and educators to build strategies that extend beyond sessions.
Complete documentation and reports within agreed turnaround times, in line with AHPRA and NDIS Practice Standards.
About you
AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years post-registration experience, including independent caseload management.
Confident completing FCAs independently and writing reports that meet NDIS and Services Australia evidence requirements.
Comfortable and effective delivering therapy via telehealth as well as face to face.
Experienced with children, adolescents and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions.
Experienced supervising or delegating to allied health assistants (highly regarded).
Self-directed and accountable: you organise your own follow-ups, track outcomes and flag issues before they become problems.
A strong communicator with families, carers, educators and a multidisciplinary team.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current AHPRA registration.
Full working rights in Australia, current driver's licence and access to a vehicle (for community visits).
Flexible part-time days, with full-time considered.
A varied caseload across clinic, telehealth and community settings.
Admin, booking and billing support, so your time goes into clinical work.
A genuine multidisciplinary team: psychology, speech pathology, allied health assistants, psychiatry and paediatrics.
Up to $1,500 annual career development allowance
A real pathway to a senior or lead clinical role as we grow.
