We are seeking an experienced Commercial Upholsterer to join our skilled production team. This hands-on role is ideal for a quality-focused tradesperson who takes pride in producing durable, well-finished work for commercial environments. You will work across a variety of projects, from preparing frames and cutting materials to final assembly and quality inspection.
Key responsibilities
Measure, cut, sew and fit fabrics, vinyl, leather and foam to commercial furniture and fittings.
Strip and rebuild existing upholstered items as required.
Prepare, repair and assemble frames, webbing, springs and cushioning.
Read job specifications, drawings and work orders accurately.
Operate sewing machines, cutting equipment, hand tools and pneumatic tools safely.
Complete work to agreed quality standards and production timeframes.
Identify material or construction issues and recommend practical solutions.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
About you
Demonstrated experience in commercial upholstery or a closely related trade.




Strong cutting, sewing, fitting and finishing skills.
Sound knowledge of upholstery materials, tools and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and contribute positively within a team.
Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential where equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
