About us
The FleetWorkshop is a modern workshop facility that services and maintainsCouncil assets ranging from small plant through to largeearthmoving machinery.
The FleetMaintenance team ensure that our internal customers and externalstakeholders receive excellent customer service to ensure Councilassets maintain their operational requirements with limitedinterruption to the service they provide.
The FleetMaintenance Management section oversees the servicing and repair ofall fleet assets in workshops located at Principal Depot,Pittsworth and Crows Nest as well as mobile service and repairunits working from these workshops. Maintenance Managementalso coordinate and deliver metal fabrication services across theregion.
About the role
TheMechanic/Diesel Fitter is responsible for maintaining Council'sFleet in a protected, cost effective and operational manner.
Theposition will carry out maintenance of heavy and light vehicles,plant and equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards andregulations and that workshop operations meet Workplace Health andSafety and environmental management principles.
What we offer
Permanent fulltime position based at Charlton.
Thebase wage for this role ranges from $2,****** to $2,******gross per fortnight.
Withan additional $6.00 per hour Critical WorkerTrade allowance, earn up to $3,****** gross perfortnight or $***** per hour (dependent on individualapplicant qualifications and training).
Plus17.5% annual leave loading and up to *****%superannuation.
$*****per week tool allowance.
Overtimeavailable.

About you
Hold themandatory qualifications, training and/or experience, specific tothe role:
Minimum CertificateIII in Motor Mechanic/Diesel Fitter or equivalent from arecognised Tertiary Institution.
WHSCompetency (White Card) for CPCWHS**** Prepare to work safelyin the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingnessto obtain prior to commencement.
