Job Description
We require 100 labourers for work at an aquaculture farm in the Proserpine region, QLD. The work includes harvesting seafood from the ponds and transporting it to the processing facility. Work will commence during Dec **** and be ongoing for 9 months.
Successful candidates will be offered employment on a casual basis and paid under the Aquaculture Industry Award **** and paid at the starting rate of Level 1 $***** per hour. Applicants must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be versatile with working days and be available 6-7 days a week if required. Regular weekend work may also be required including Sundays.
Workers must be available for early morning starts. Aquaculture work can be physically demanding. You will be required to work outdoors around ponds, and in some cases may be required to work in Wet Weather.
The work may include heavy lifting, bending and use of machinery. (PPE will be provided). Workers must be able to pass a medical/drug test.
Candidates MUST have work rights in Australia. Only successful applicants will be notified. This job has opportunities for upskilling and training.
