We are seeking a proactive Accounts All-Rounder to join our accounting team on a permanent, full-time basis at our site in Epping, Victoria. You will take ownership of transactional tasks covering both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) in a high volume environment. At the start, this role will focus on assisting with the daily workflows rather than managing them. However, we expect the right candidate to be self-managed - showing the initiative to organize your own day, track your tasks, and stay on top of deadlines.
We operate with a flat management structure built on open communication, meaning you will have direct access to the team and leadership to get the answers you need to complete your role. While we utilize an OCR system for AP and have automated elements in our AR, this role is not hands-off. We need a skilled person to join our team who possesses a fundamental understanding of underlying accounting processes.
You must be able to spot data anomalies, problem-solve discrepancies, and ensure absolute accuracy- rather than relying blindly on the systems to do the thinking for you. Once you are established, we want someone with the initiative to look for continuous improvements and help us refine our processes.
Key responsibilities
Processing of a large volume of invoices within our payables function, reviewing automated invoice captures from our suppliers, along with manual inputs of invoices.
Investigate and resolve exceptions flagged by the system to ensure that invoices are processed timely and following up with branches to ensure deadlines are met.
Assist with preparing payment runs and matching of all invoices before finalising the run.
Process manual banking allocations and ensure that accounts are reconciled to ensure accuracy for our customers on their weekly invoice/statement.
Audit automated receipting allocations and systematically perform checks to ensure that all banking is allocated correctly.




Support debt collection efforts by actively following up on overdue debt with the branch collections team.
Review aged debtors and assist with reporting to the Financial Controller.
Identify opportunities to improve workflows and system efficiencies once fully established in the role.
Maintain digital filing and ensure that all paperwork is scanned on a weekly basis.
About you
Proven experience working in an AP/AR All-Rounder role within any industry.
Strong accounting knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end AP/AR processes, debits/credits, and reconciliations.
A self-managed approach - the ability to take ownership of your workload, prioritize effectively, and work autonomously.
A proactive mindset - someone who checks system outputs for accuracy rather than relying blindly on automation, and who actively thinks about how to make processes better.
High system literacy and the ability to comfortably pick up on our bespoke, proprietary system (training will be provided).
Strong MS Excel skills with an ability to comfortably manage spreadsheets.
Exceptional communication skills.
