Lead Educator | St Augustine's Long Day Care + Kindergarten, Augustine Heights

St Augustine's Long Day Care + Kindergarten is a 75-place service offering a calm, nurturing workplace where children are encouraged to learn, explore and grow. With spacious outdoor areas and a large backyard, our centre embraces nature-based learning and meaningful play experiences.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator (Group Leader) who is committed to creating engaging, inclusive and inspiring learning environments. Working alongside a supportive team, you will play a key role in fostering children's development, wellbeing and sense of belonging.
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday, with rostered shifts between 6:15am and 6:00pm. If you're looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference while being part of a positive and collaborative team culture, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of a high quality, inclusive, educational program
Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment
Communicate effectively with families
Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families
Participate in professional and personal development
Job Requirements
Diploma in Children's Services/Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines) or working towards qualification
First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
Working with Children Check (Blue Card) from the Queensland Government




Current Child Safety/Protection training is required for this role.
Position may require being the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Director
Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Law/Regulations.
Conversant with Early Years Learning Framework & the QLD Kindergarten Learning Guidelines
Experience in the education and care of children
Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
