A national temporary works engineering business is looking for a
Team Leader
to oversee its NSW engineering team. The team designs and certifies temporary works for major energy, resources, construction and civil infrastructure projects.
You'll lead a team of 6 engineers and designers, working across onshore and offshore team members, while staying hands-on with complex design, analysis and sign-off. The work regularly involves bespoke solutions, supporting clients who are delivering some of Australia's most complex projects.
Key responsibilities of the Team Leader
Run the Sydney temporary works design team, setting priorities and managing workload across local and offshore engineers and designers




Act as the final technical check and certifying engineer on temporary works designs before they go to site - this role is focused on industrial access and scaffolding.
Take on the more complex design challenges yourself, from analysis and modelling through to the final engineered solution
Coach and develop the team, raising technical standards and building the next generation of designers
Be the senior engineering point of contact for clients and internal teams, turning project needs into protected, build-able solutions
Keep designs, documentation and sign-off consistent with Australian Standards and the business's established quality processes
What you'll bring as the Team Leader
CPEng, or within a few months of achieving it, with a civil or structural degree
Proven experience designing and certifying temporary works, with scaffold design experience highly regarded
Revit and AutoCAD 3D experience would be a strong advantage
Experience leading or mentoring technical teams
A practical, process-driven approach to delivery
