As
Director of Spa & Wellness
, you will shape and lead a holistic wellness experience that reflects the values of both
1 Hotels
and
Bamford
. This role calls for a strategic and hands-on leader who can inspire a high-performing team, drive commercial success, elevate the guest experience, and position Bamford Wellness Spa as a leading luxury wellness destination in Melbourne.
What You'll Do
Lead the day-to-day operations of Bamford Wellness Spa and wellness facilities, with a strong focus on service excellence and revenue performance
Develop and execute strategic plans to position Bamford Spa as a leader in the luxury wellness sector
Create and enhance wellness experiences, spa programming and treatment offerings in line with brand standards and guest expectations
Build strong cross-functional relationships across the hotel to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional guest journey
Spearhead initiatives that reflect our values, sustainability ethos and commitment to conscious hospitality




Oversee all operational areas including scheduling, procurement, inventory control, facility maintenance and team deployment
Maintain complete knowledge of Bamford Spa products, services and treatment standards
Ensure the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, compliance and operational excellence across all spa and wellness spaces
Monitor budgets, drive profitability and maximise daily revenue opportunities
Lead, coach and develop the spa team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and care
About You
You are a passionate wellness leader with a deep appreciation for luxury hospitality, guest experience and the power of thoughtful service. You bring commercial acumen, operational strength and a leadership style that inspires others.
You will ideally bring:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven team development and mentoring capability
Experience in strategic planning, brand strategy and positioning
Expertise in wellness programming
Experience in spa treatment and menu development
Solid financial and commercial management skills
A track record of operational excellence
A genuine passion for the spa and wellness industry, with a commitment to high-quality service and treatment standards
