Arcade Machine and Event Hire Delivery/Set-up Person

, this role is integral to ensuring our clients receive exceptional service from the moment their hire equipment arrives at their venue. You will be responsible for the safe delivery, setup, and operation of arcade machines and event hire equipment to various locations across Melbourne and surrounding areas. This is a hands‐on position that requires both physical capability and excellent customer service skills, as you will be the face of Xtreme Party Hire at client events.
What you'll be doing
Safely transport arcade machines and event hire equipment in company vehicles to client venues
Unload and position equipment at event locations, ensuring items are placed securely and in agreed‐upon positions
Set up arcade machines and event equipment, including electrical connections and operational testing
Provide clients with clear instructions on equipment operation and safety guidelines
Troubleshoot minor technical issues with arcade machines and event equipment on-site
Pack and load equipment following events, ensuring everything is clean and undamaged
Maintain accurate delivery and set‐up records, including client feedback and any issues encountered
Communicate professionally with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns
Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections before and after each job to identify any maintenance needs
Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and equipment handling procedures
What we're looking for
Proven experience in delivery, logistics, warehousing, or event setup roles
Strong physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy items safely




Valid driver's licence and a clean driving record essential
Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Basic technical knowledge or willingness to learn equipment operation and troubleshooting
Attention to detail and ability to follow setup instructions accurately
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred)
Knowledge of health and safety practices in logistics and warehousing (desirable)
