Montessori qualification:
You must have completed a recognised Montessori diploma or be currently enrolled and actively working towards one.
You must include evidence of your completed Montessori qualification or current course enrolment with your application.
Applications that do not meet these requirements or do not include supporting evidence will not progress to an interview.
About the role
With increasing enrolments, Bilingual Montessori Early Learning (BMEL) is now seeking a qualified or currently studying
Montessori Educator
to join our passionate teams at Box Hill South and Heathmont.
This is initially a casual position, progressing to part-time or full-time employment for the right candidate.
As a Montessori Educator, you will support children's natural curiosity, independence and love of learning through authentic Montessori practice. You will help deliver high-quality, child-centred education that respects each child's individual interests, developmental stage and pace of learning.
Key responsibilities
Implement the Montessori curriculum and create prepared learning environments that encourage exploration, independence and self-directed learning.
Observe and assess children's development, progress and learning needs.
Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with families.
Plan and facilitate purposeful learning experiences aligned with Montessori principles and each child's individual learning journey.
Maintain a safe, clean,



organised and welcoming environment that encourages children's autonomy.
Support BMEL's bilingual philosophy by incorporating language-development opportunities throughout the day.
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Comply with all relevant early childhood education and care regulations, policies and procedures.
Participate in professional development and training to strengthen your Montessori knowledge and practice.
Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to continually improve the quality of education and care.
Essential requirements
A
completed Montessori diploma
or evidence of
current enrolment
and active study towards one.
A valid Working with Children Check.
Current Australian working rights without the need for employer sponsorship.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice.
Experience working with young children in a Montessori, early learning or similar environment.
Robust observation and assessment skills, with the ability to tailor learning experiences to individual children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to children's wellbeing and development.
The ability to work collaboratively and support bilingual learning practices.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain them.
Flexibility and reliability to work across a casual roster.
