About the role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic
Casual Pizza Chef
to join our hospitality team at our Werribee South location over the Spring & summer period. This is a
casual position
offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, rapid-paced kitchen environment. As a Pizza Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pizza dishes that delight our guests and enhance their overall dining experience.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas using traditional and contemporary techniques
Maintain consistency in portion sizes, presentation and flavour profiles across all pizza offerings
Operate and maintain pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure the highest standards of food preparation
Work efficiently during service periods to meet customer orders and maintain kitchen workflow




Collaborate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery
Contribute to menu development and suggest innovative pizza creations when appropriate
Maintain a clean and organised workstation throughout service
Respond positively to feedback and continuously improve culinary skills and techniques
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or similar culinary role within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Demonstrable knowledge of pizza-making techniques, dough preparation and flavour combinations
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and kitchen protocols
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff
Desirable: experience with wood-fired ovens or Italian cuisine
What we offer
We offer a casual position offering mostly weekend shifts 9-5 and also Mon & Tues 9-5 through Dec & Jan. There is flexibility around these hours and some additional hours may be possible.
