Medical Receptions - 16 hours per week (Casual)Working alongside the Practice Manager, you'll be supporting a busy Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee joint replacements in Newtown.
The role will require some flexibility in hours around covering sick and annual leave.
Usual hours will be 16 hours per week Monday 8am-4pm & Friday 8am-4pm (this can be negotiated with the right candidate).
Key responsibilitiesAnswering phone calls and patient enquiriesBooking patient appointments / liaising with patients, doctor, practice managerPatient and third party billingQuoting and booking surgeries as requiredScanning patient records and sending out correspondence via eFax or email/HealthlinkEnsuring medico-legal documentation is on site for upcoming consultationMaintaining & updating electronic imaging log inBanking and day to day general office dutiesAbility to multitask, prioritize and work autonomouslyExercising confidentiality regarding practice policies, patient details and all aspects of clinical careAbout youProficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)Experience using medical software (BlueChip/Medical Director) and Medicare billing
