About the Role
As a Water & Wastewater Operator, you will monitor, control andoperate water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants,pumping stations, recycling facilities and associatedinfrastructure to ensure compliance with legislative, environmentaland operational standards.
This hands-on role also supports infrastructure maintenanceactivities and participates in the after-hours/on-call roster.
What You'll Be Doing
Operating and monitoring water and wastewater treatmentinfrastructureMaintaining compliance with statutory and environmentalrequirementsSupporting Drinking Water Quality Management Plans andquality systemsCoordinating sampling and plant monitoring activitiesAssisting with maintenance coordination and contractorsupervisionResponding to SCADA alarms and after-hours operationalissuesWorking safely and contributing to a strong teamculture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Water and/or Wastewater Operations orthe ability to obtain within 3 monthsRelevant industry experience operating treatment plants andassociated infrastructureExperience with automated operational systems and processcontrolStrong problem-solving, communication and organisationalskillsCommitment to workplace safety and teamwork
The following licences/certifications are required or must beobtained within 6 months:




Confined Space EntryFirst Aid
This role requires participation in Council's respiratorfit-testing program.
