Crowne Plaza Canberra is hiring a Part-time Commis Chef.
As a Chef at the Crowne Plaza Canberra, you'll be working closely with kitchen leadership team and responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our Food and Beverage operationsacross our Restaurant (Redsalt), Lume Bar, Crowne Meetings operation and room service.
A little taste of your day to day
Working throughout the kitchen sections such as Grill, Pans and Larder
Producing high quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style
Following kitchen and hotel policies, procedures and brand standards
Maintaining daily cleaning throughout the kitchen
Paying close attention to presentation, garnishing dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal.
Leading the collaboration with the kitchen team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Following HAACP regulations and guidelines
What We need from you:
You must have working rightsin Australia
You know the industry and what is expected of you
Valid food handler Certificates
Commercial cookery certification
Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary workplace is highly desirable
Mix of skills and experience as well as personality and passion




Be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive "can do attitude" with front and back of house culinary team
