We are looking for a suitably qualified Clinical Nurse to join Gunyah of Wellness AMS, in Nambour, QLD Australia. We specialise in providing health services to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and to the whole of the community, but We are not your typical medical center!
n

You will work alongside GP's, Allied Health, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners in the medical centre as a practice nurse, in addition to empowering Mob through community initiatives. Chronic Disease Management and Primary Health Care experience highly desirable.
n

Primary Role:
Gunyah of Wellness Clinical Nurse.

Employment Type:
Permanant Part-Time, 4 Days a week.

Salary Range
: $30 – $50 per hour (Award rate to be based on Nurses Award MA******)

Practice Manager

The Criteria
n
n
n
A sense of Humour
n
Current registration with AHPRA
n
Understand the health needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander children, families and community
n
Clinical Nurse with Primary Health care and maternal and child Health experience. Primary health care means medical centres, Primary health care centres, urgent care centres, or remote area nursing.
n
Maternal and child Health for Babies Gunyah and Gunyah Schools programs, as well as child health checks.
n




Experience working with first Nations communities.
n
Emergency department experience for our frequent triages and emergencies.
n
Has Basic Life support and First Aid current.
n
Experience with students, such as Aboriginal Health Practitioner students, Paramedics, Medical students, Nursing students, work experience students.
n
Ability to team lead and contribute to policy.
n
