Spinifex Recruiting is seeking qualified Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle and/or Diesel Mechanics for opportunities within Local Council operations across the Tweed Shire region.

Light Vehicle Mechanics must be keen and willing to learn and develop their skills working on heavy vehicles, plant and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
Servicing,



maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of vehicles, plant and machinery
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Carrying out preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Completing repairs in line with council procedures and safety standards
Working collaboratively within a workshop team
What We're Looking For
Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic
Experience servicing and repairing vehicles, plant or machinery
Solid fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and develop skills across heavy vehicles, plant and equipment (essential for Light Vehicle Mechanics)
White Card or willingness to obtain one
HR Licence highly regarded but not essential
