Job Description:

Join a highly regarded Projects & Energy Transition team in Brisbane, advising high-profile clients on major infrastructure, energy, transport and construction projects. This is an opportunity to take a leading role on market-leading and complex matters, work directly with clients and develop your expertise across sophisticated commercial contracting and supply chain work.

The Chance

You will play a leading role advising clients on the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects, including data centres, transport and energy projects, with a focus on commercial contracting across all aspects of their supply chains. The role also offers the opportunity to work with clients across broader sectors, including defence.

Key Responsibilities

- Take day-to-day responsibility for complex matters, with direct client contact and autonomy to progress matters with Partner support.

- Draft, review and negotiate project documentation, including contracts, contract amendments and contract correspondence.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, working closely with Partners, lawyers and the business development team.

- Work across major infrastructure, construction, energy and transport projects, including procurement and project delivery.

- Mentor and support lawyers and trainees, while contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to grow the practice.

About You





- Admitted to practice in Australia with 5+ PQE in a Projects, Infrastructure or Construction practice gained within a top-tier or mid-tier firm, or in-house.

- Strong Australian construction contract experience is essential, with an interest in procurement and the delivery of construction, infrastructure, energy and/or transport projects.

- Excellent drafting, communication and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail and a commercial approach.

- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful and long-lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.

- A collaborative team player who can work independently, contribute to matter workstreams and actively mentor junior lawyers.
