Building Talent Recruitment
Sydney
The Company
- Founded just over a decade ago by an experienced traffic engineer, now with around 20 staff across Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
- A calm, hands-on culture where everyone pitches in, no matter their level.
- Every team member is assigned a mentor, with monthly catch-ups plus company-wide Tuesday team meetings.
- Flexible working is a given in the forward thinking consultancy
- Projects already secured in NSW, including a newly won local government project, to work on from day one.
The Role
This role sits at the heart of this established consultancy's growth in Sydney, working alongside their Business Development lead to help grow the office's reputation and delivery capability.
You'll work on a mix of TIAs, CTMPs, road safety audits and traffic management design, including projects already secured in NSW.
You'll be given genuine autonomy to manage your own workload, backed by twice weekly mentoring from the Director, one session on work and workload, and one purely on your development.
The business is open to candidates from a strong Senior level through to Principal, with more senior candidates expected to bring an established client following.
The Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of traffic engineering projects including TIAs, CTMPs, road safety audits and traffic management design
- Work closely with the Sydney based Business Development lead to help grow the office's reputation and client base
- Manage your own workload with the backing of regular mentoring from the Director
- Build trust and credibility with the wider team so you can work independently as the role matures
The Requirements
This role suits a traffic engineer who's ready to work independently and help build the company’s presence in Sydney. In return, you'll be able to demonstrate:
- Experience within an Australian engineering design consultancy
- At least 10 years' experience as a consultant within a traffic engineering consultancy
- Qualified Road Safety Auditor status
- A proven track record delivering TIAs and CTMPs
- Genuine initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- For Principal level candidates, an established network of clients who would follow you
- Full working rights in Australia
This is a genuine chance to help shape and grow a well regarded, up and coming traffic engineering consultancy's presence in Sydney.
