Are you an experienced hospitality couple looking for your next remote adventure?

We’re currently seeking an experienced Chef & All-Rounder couple to join a busy, well established tourist venue located along the iconic Eyre Highway connecting Western Australia to South Australia.

This is a true outback hospitality experience catering to a mix of in-house guests, road-tripping travellers, passing tourists and staff, this bustling 7-day operation offers a variety of services including fuel, retail, bar, restaurant, motel accommodation and caravan park facilities.

You will work with a fantastic team of staff both front and back of house to provide delicious meals and outstanding customer service.

Being a remote, standalone property, this opportunity offers a great chance to escape the hustle and bustle, focus on saving money and experience a completely different lifestyle. Spend your time off exploring the surrounding region, discovering the rugged landscapes of the Nullarbor and enjoying the wide-open spaces, spectacular sunsets and unique experiences that remote Australia has to offer.

Remote living isn't for everyone, so we're looking for a couple who are comfortable with the isolation, enjoy a close-knit team environment and can adapt to the practical realities of living and working in an outback location.

A reliable vehicle is essential, as the property is remotely located and there is no public transport available.

The Roles

Chef

We’re seeking an experienced Chef with strong bistro and short-order cooking skills who can confidently work across all kitchen stations. You will be comfortable on pans and grill and preparing and presenting quality meals,



maintain food safety standards and working as part of a team.

You’ll need to be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities. Bakery and cake-making experience will be highly regarded.

All-Rounder

The All-Rounder role will suit someone versatile, reliable and happy to roll up their sleeves across the different areas of the venue. Duties may include bar and restaurant service, customer service, general cleaning and housekeeping, and providing assistance wherever needed to support daily operations.

Previous hospitality experience is preferred, along with a positive attitude, good communication skills and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks.

Both positions require a hands-on approach, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well as part of a small team.

The Package

- Casual employment
- Chef: $36.85 per hour Monday to Friday
- Chef: $48.07 per hour Saturday and Sunday
- Accommodation and meals: $170 each per week
- Own room with shared bathroom facilities

Key Responsibilities

Chef

- Prepare, cook and present a range of menu items, including entrees, mains, sides and desserts.
- Deliver efficient short-order and à la carte service.
- Work confidently across all kitchen stations.
- Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Coordinate meal service with the assistance of a Kitchen Hand.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.




- Assist with stock control and minimise food waste.

All-Rounder

- Work across all areas of the property-front and back of house
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Undertake general cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
- General front counter & shop work, making coffee, serving customers, running meals, cash handling
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming environment

Candidate Requirements

Chef

- Previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Robust short-order and bistro cooking skills
- Ability to work confidently across all kitchen stations
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Bakery and cake-making experience highly regarded
- A flexible, hands-on approach to working in a busy kitchen

All-Rounder

- Previous hospitality, food and beverage, retail or customer service experience preferred
- Friendly communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Willingness to undertake varied duties, including cleaning and general venue support
- Reliable, adaptable and comfortable working in a hands-on environment

For couples: Both applicants must be willing to work in a remote location, contribute to a small team and adapt to the varied demands of a busy tourist venue.
