? Expression of Interest: Linux Cloud Compute Operations Engineer | Full-Time | $100–120k AUD (Commencing December 2026)

We’re seeking expressions of interest from experienced Linux Cloud Compute Operations Engineers for an upcoming full-time opportunity, with recruitment commencing in January 2027.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, maintaining critical infrastructure and driving automation to ensure stable, secure and high-performing Linux environments.

You’ll play a key role in Linux system administration, patching, incident management and automation, working closely with Infrastructure, Middleware, Database and Security teams to maintain operational stability across cloud and enterprise environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) patching cycles, system configurations and compliance requirements

• Troubleshooting and resolving complex Linux infrastructure incidents, including root cause analysis

• Developing automation solutions using Ansible, Shell scripting and GitHub

• Executing controlled changes across production and non-production environments

• Supporting middleware, database and cloud technologies including MQ, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle Exadata and AWS

• Collaborating with global teams,



vendors and stakeholders to coordinate patching, incident resolution and operational improvements

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux administration (RHEL), system configuration and performance tuning

• Proven experience managing enterprise patching cycles and compliance requirements

• Experience with Ansible, GitHub and automation scripting

• Strong incident management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities

• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools

• Experience supporting technologies including MQ, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle Exadata, AWS, VMware and Nutanix

• Understanding of Linux networking, storage management and middleware dependencies

• Solid communication skills and experience collaborating with global technical teams

? Location: Melbourne, VIC. Hybrid Role – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in office.

? Salary: $100,000–$120,000 AUD per annum
