DevOps Engineer-AUS Citizen

The Azure DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, standardising and supporting enterprise-grade CI/CD capabilities using Microsoft Azure DevOps. The role will work closely with development, testing and platform teams to establish reusable pipeline patterns and automate application build, test, deployment and release processes across multiple environments.

The position requires strong hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML pipeline templates, Azure repositories and Microsoft Azure, with an emphasis on automation, repeatability, security and production reliability. • Design, build and implement Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, packaging, and deployment.

• Develop reusable YAML pipeline templates to standardise CI/CD implementation across applications and development teams.

• Implement multi-stage pipelines covering environments such as Development, Test, UAT and Production, including appropriate deployment controls and approvals.

• Maintain and enhance existing Azure DevOps pipelines, identifying opportunities for greater automation, standardisation, and reliability.

• Configure and manage integrations between source repositories, build processes, automated tests, artefact repositories, and deployment pipelines.

• Automate infrastructure and application deployment using Infrastructure as Code, preferably Bicep, ARM templates or Terraform.

• Implement secure management of credentials, secrets, and configurations,



leveraging Azure capabilities such as Azure Key Vault, service connections, managed identities, and RBAC where applicable.

• Support deployment of applications and services to Microsoft Azure environments, including containerised workloads where required.

• Establish appropriate pipeline logging, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Troubleshoot build, deployment and environment-related issues and provide technical support during production releases.

• Work closely with developers and testers to integrate automated testing and quality checks into CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, pipeline standards, reusable templates and deployment procedures.

• Contribute to DevOps governance, release management and continuous improvement of development and deployment practices. Key skills:

• Solid hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines

• Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines

• Development of reusable YAML pipeline templates

• Azure Repos, Git, and branching strategies

• Build, automated testing and deployment automation

• PowerShell and/or Python scripting

• Microsoft Azure deployment experience

• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM or Terraform

• Docker/Kubernetes experience desirable

• Strong troubleshooting and production deployment experience

Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant DevOps/cloud engineering experience, with substantial hands-on Azure DevOps experience.

• Demonstrated experience implementing CI/CD solutions for enterprise applications.

• Experience working within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

• Ability to work effectively with developers, testers, architects, infrastructure/platform teams and application support teams.

• Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline desirable.
