- Experienced VB6 Developer with strong .NET, SQL Server and legacy enterprise application support experience required

We are seeking an experienced VB6 Developer to support, enhance and modernise business-critical enterprise applications. You will work across legacy VB6 systems and contemporary Microsoft technologies, contributing to application maintenance, defect resolution, database development, system integration and technology uplift.

Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and enhance enterprise applications using VB6 and .NET
- Support Windows thick-client applications, including WinForms UI/UX
- Develop and optimise SQL Server databases, T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers and views
- Build and maintain SSIS packages supporting ETL, data migration and integration
- Produce technical specifications, solution designs, support documentation and deployment guides




- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers and stakeholders
- Support CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Git

Essential Criteria

- Strong commercial experience developing and supporting Visual Basic 6 applications, which is mandatory
- Experience with.NET, C# and Windows Forms
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL
- Experience supporting enterprise-grade thick-client applications
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and performance-tuning skills
