Breakthrough Group is a proudly Cairns-based company specialising in demolition, asbestos removal and concrete cutting. Established in 1986, we have built a strong reputation for quality workmanship, reliability and service across the region.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction who enjoys working with clients, preparing accurate quotes and tenders, and helping bring projects together from the initial enquiry through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

- Attend site inspections and assess project requirements.

- Prepare accurate quotations, cost estimates and tender submissions.

- Review construction plans, specifications and project documentation.

- Calculate labour, equipment and material requirements.

- Liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers to clarify project details.

- Source pricing and obtain supplier and subcontractor quotes.

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and planned.

- Manage estimating deadlines and follow up on submitted quotations.

- Identify potential project risks, costs and opportunities.





- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in demolition, concrete cutting, construction or asbestos removal.

- Experience in estimating and quoting construction works.

- The ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Confidence communicating with clients, contractors and suppliers.

- Computer literacy, with experience using estimating software highly regarded.

- A current driver's licence.

- A current White Card.
