The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role overseeing fund accounting delivery for a portfolio of private assets clients. You will lead a team of VPs and accounting professionals, act as a senior point of contact for clients, and drive improvements in how services are delivered.

The role suits someone who combines solid technical grounding in private assets fund accounting with the ability to build strong client relationships. Mandarin speaking is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop a team of VPs and fund accounting professionals

- Oversee fund accounting delivery across a private assets client portfolio, ensuring timelines, quality standards and client expectations are met

- Act as a trusted senior contact for clients, building long-term relationships and understanding their operating and reporting needs





- Monitor team performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality

- Work with internal and external stakeholders, including offshore teams and client finance functions, to ensure smooth service delivery

- Contribute to process improvement and operational initiatives, including the practical adoption of AI and automation tools

- Support business development, including client meetings, pitches and presentations

About You

- Experience: 12+ years in private assets fund accounting, ideally with exposure to private credit

- Leadership: a track record of leading and developing teams in a fund administration or financial services environment

- Client focus: strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders

- Language: Mandarin speaking is highly advantageous

- Qualifications: a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline; CA, CPA or equivalent (completed or in progress) is advantageous

- Well organised, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a structured way

- A collaborative leadership style and a genuine interest in developing others
