Mack Civil is a well-established, family-owned civil construction company delivering a diverse range of infrastructure projects across Greater Sydney.

We are seeking an experienced, reliable and hands-on Yardsman to join our team at our Peakhurst depot.

This is a practical, fast-paced role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills and previous experience working in a civil construction yard, depot or similar environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our construction crews have the materials, tools and equipment they need to keep projects running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, pick and organise daily material and equipment orders in accordance with site load sheets.

- Load and unload trucks, vehicles and deliveries safely and efficiently.

- Operate forklifts and other yard equipment as required.

- Receive, check, store and dispatch construction materials, tools and equipment.

- Maintain stock levels, conduct stocktakes and assist with ordering materials and consumables.

- Organise and maintain tools, small plant and equipment, ensuring items are ready for site use.

- Coordinate deliveries, collections and material movements between the yard and construction sites.

- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised yard, including storage areas and equipment.

- Identify damaged or faulty equipment and report maintenance requirements.

- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and general yard duties.





- Work closely with project teams, supervisors and delivery drivers to meet daily operational requirements.

- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience as a Yardsman, Storeperson or in a similar role, ideally within civil construction, earthmoving or the building industry.

- A sound understanding of civil construction materials, tools, plant and equipment.

- Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling construction materials.

- A current forklift licence (highly regarded).

- A current Australian driver's licence.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- A proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate operational needs.

- A strong commitment to workplace safety.

- Physical fitness and willingness to undertake hands-on yard duties.

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.

Highly Regarded:

- HR or MR truck licence.

- Experience operating construction plant and machinery.

- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance experience.

- Experience with inventory management and stock control systems.
