The Role
This business is looking for a Transport Modeller or Senior Transport Modeller to join its modelling and data analytics team in Sydney, working closely with the team's Principal Lead.
It's a hands-on role for someone who genuinely enjoys modelling and wants to keep doing it. You'll also have the scope to present your work, support junior team members and build your project management skills as you progress.
The level of the role will be matched to your experience, from Modeller through to Senior.
The Responsibilities

- Build and run traffic and transport models using AIMSUN Next and SIDRA across infrastructure, development and precinct projects.
- Provide modelling advice and data analytics, including data visualisation and GIS mapping, to project managers and clients.
- Present modelling outcomes clearly to clients,



government agencies and project teams.
- Support project scoping, fee preparation and coordination with suppliers such as traffic survey providers.
- Guide and support junior modellers to deliver projects.
- Build client relationships and represent the business at meetings and industry events.

The Requirements
This role suits a proven modeller who loves the technical side of the work and wants to keep growing within it. In return, you'll be able to demonstrate:

- Transport modelling experience at Modeller or Senior Modeller level within an Australian engineering design consultancy, preferably within NSW.
- Solid practical experience using AIMSUN and SIDRA.
- Experience with other modelling software such as VISSIM highly regarded.
- An understanding of NSW transport planning practices, and experience working with government agencies or transport authorities.
- A tertiary qualification in engineering or a related transport discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting technical outputs.
- Full working rights in Australia.
