A Typical Day Might Look Like...
No two days are quite the same.
One morning you might be helping a client prepare for their day and sharing stories over breakfast.
Later, you could be accompanying someone to a medical appointment, helping with the weekly shopping, supporting them with personal care, or assisting them to attend a social activity they've been looking forward to all week.
Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest moments.
The Hours That Work With Your Life
We're offering contracted hours:
9am - 12pm
Availability is required between:
7am - 2pm Monday to Friday
Thursday and Friday availability is essential.
We also pay travel time and kilometres between clients because we recognise your time matters.
We're looking for people who understand that sometimes the most important part of the day is a friendly face at the front door, a helping hand with the shopping, a chat over a cup of tea, or the confidence that comes from knowing someone genuinely cares.
Every day, you'll help older Australians continue living the life they choose, in the place they love most: their own home.
Why This Role Feels Different
Forget spending your days behind a desk or rushing through repetitive tasks.
Instead, you'll spend your time:
- Helping people stay independent
- Building genuine relationships
- Supporting clients to stay connected to their community
- Making a positive difference with every visit
- Working close to home across Brisbane's northern suburbs
From Brighton, Sandgate, Ferny Grove, Grange, Northgate, The Gap and surrounds, you'll become a trusted part of someone's week and the reason they can continue living confidently at home.
We're Looking For Someone Who...
- You genuinely enjoy helping others.
- You notice the little things.
- You are reliable, compassionate and respectful.
- You understand that supporting older people isn't just about completing tasks.
It's about helping people maintain dignity, confidence and connection.
You'll also have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Community)
- Experience supporting older people in the community
- Current Driver's Licence
- Reliable registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
