Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a local government client to support them in recruiting for five Customer Service Representatives to join their contact centre team in Logan Central on a contract basis.

About the role

- Pay rate of $39.00 per hour + super
- Contract from 9 November 2026 to 26 February 2027
- Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, onsite in Logan Central
- Handle inbound calls, emails and webchat enquiries from residents and businesses
- Resolve enquiries at first point of contact using council knowledge bases, escalating where required
- Cashier and payment processing duties for suitable candidates
- Support a wide range of council departments as the first point of contact for the community

Preferred Requirements

- Proven contact centre experience, ideally in government, utilities, telco, insurance or banking




- Excellent verbal and written communication, including de-escalating difficult conversations
- Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Quick to learn current systems, with confidence using databases and spreadsheets
- Webchat experience highly regarded
- Cashiering or cash handling experience highly regarded
- Available to start 9 November and commit through to late February

Preferred Qualifications

- Certificate III or IV in Customer Contact, or a similar customer service qualification, highly regarded but not essential
