Electrical & Ropeway Maintenance Technician

Charlotte Pass Snow Resort is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical & Ropeway Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering Team in one of Australia’s most unique working environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified electrician to combine technical expertise with a genuine alpine lifestyle. Working across our electrical infrastructure, ski lifts, conveyors, resort facilities and mountain assets, you’ll play a critical role in keeping the resort operating safely and efficiently throughout the year.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mountain Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems across the resort.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of ski lifts, conveyors, and ropeway control systems.
- Conducting inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Supporting annual lift overhauls and statutory inspections.
- Maintaining electrical infrastructure including switchboards, generators, motors, lighting, and distribution systems.
- Assisting with infrastructure projects, upgrades, and asset improvement initiatives.
- Participating in emergency response and lift evacuation activities when required.
- Supporting winter operations including snow clearing and critical infrastructure response.

Essential Qualifications

- NSW Electrical Licence (or equivalent Australian electrical trade qualification).
- Current Driver Licence.
- White Card.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.




- Ability to work safely at heights and in challenging alpine conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.

Highly Regarded

- Ropeway or ski industry experience.
- Industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or heavy infrastructure experience.
- Working at Heights certification.
- EWP Licence.
- Confined Space certification.
- First Aid certification.
- Rescue from Heights certification.
