Gilroy Catholic College is seeking a skilled and passionate English Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.

This is a Temporary Full‑time position until Term 3, 2027 covering leave. The start date is negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications to teach English Stages 4–6

Strong knowledge of explicit teaching and evidence‑based approaches to English teaching and learning

Ability to differentiate and cater for diverse student needs to maximise learning

Solid understanding of effective learning environments, lesson design, technology use, assessment and feedback

Commitment to ongoing skilled growth and continual improvement of practice

Collaborative, creative team member who sets high expectations for self and students

Able to inspire and motivate students to achieve and develop a love of learning.
