Be the last set of hands on every machine before it goes to work. You'll split your time between two jobs: bringing new machines to life on the test bay and fitting the accessories that make each build ready for the customer. Putzmeister is a world leader in concrete pumping. Our machines pour the concrete on Australia's biggest high-rise, infrastructure, tunnelling and mining projects. At our Altona workshop, we build, fit out and test each pump to a standard our customers rely on every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing and tuning

- Set and verify hydraulic pressures, flows and machine settings to spec
- Run full function tests on the boom, pumping, outrigger and control systems
- Hunt down leaks, defects and anything that isn't quite right
- Fault-find and fine-tune each machine for peak performance
- Complete test reports and handover documentation

Fit-out and final assembly

- Drill, grind, fabricate brackets and mount accessories to customer specifications
- Fit items such as toolboxes, pressure washers, pipe and hose racks, lighting, beacons, cameras, guards and anything else the customer has requested
- Make sure every fitting is solid, neat and finished to Putzmeister standard

About you

- Trade qualified in plant, hydraulic, diesel, heavy vehicle or mechanical fitting (or similar)
- Confident with hydraulics, and ideally experienced with heavy equipment
- A sharp eye for detail and a methodical approach to fault-finding
- Comfortable with hand and power tools, including drilling, grinding and mounting
- Proud of quality work and a secure, tidy workspace
- A clear communicator who works well with production and service teams
