About the role

We are seeking an experiencedDatabase Designerto join an Agile delivery team, working closely with application, DevOps and architecture stakeholders across the end-to-end database lifecycle (design, build, release and ongoing support).

You will design and optimise PostgreSQL database solutions in AWS (Aurora/RDS), contribute to scalable and resilient platform outcomes, and help drive continuous improvement through mentoring, standards and best practices.

Required skills

- Strong hands-on experience designing and deliveringPostgreSQLsolutions (schemas, indexing, performance tuning)
- Proven experience withAWS RDS / Aurora (PostgreSQL)in production environments
- Advanced SQL skills: query optimisation, functions, triggers, data integrity controls
- Experience withmonitoring,



troubleshooting and performance metricsto ensure scalability and reliability
- Solid capability acrossbackup, recovery and disaster recoveryplanning and execution
- Exposure toDevOps practices: automated deployment pipelines, database migration approaches, and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience collaborating inAgiledelivery teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to performcode reviews, set standards, and provide technical mentoring/coaching
- Goodcommunication skills
