The Role

We're recruiting Registered Midwives for contracts at Rockhampton Hospital, a leading regional healthcare facility in Central Queensland. Join a busy maternity service supporting mothers, babies, and families while enjoying Rockhampton's relaxed lifestyle, warm climate, and easy access to the Capricorn Coast.

Contract Details

- ASAP – 28 February 2027 (1 position)
- 19 November 2026 – 28 February 2027 (1 position)
- 30 November 2026 – 28 February 2027 (7 positions)

Hours:

80 hours per fortnight

Roster:

Monday to Friday (Day & Night Shifts), Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and Overtime as required.

Skills & Experience Required

- Maternity experience
- Ante/Post Natal care
- Birth Suite experience
- IV Cannulation

Essential Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum 2 years recent midwifery experience
- Full Australian working rights (sponsorship not provided)
- Ability to work confidently in recent clinical environments
