Most Wanted Garage The Signwriter will be responsible for designing, producing and installing customised vehicle graphics, stripes, decals and lettering.

The role involves preparing artwork, operating vinyl cutting and printing equipment, preparing vehicle surfaces, and applying graphics with precision to achieve high-quality and professional results.

Task & responsibilities

- Consult with customers to understand their requirements for vehicle graphics, lettering, stripes and decals.
- Prepare and adjust graphic layouts, lettering and artwork according to customer specifications and vehicle dimensions.
- Use graphic design software to prepare artwork for production, where required.
- Operate vinyl cutting plotters and printing equipment to produce customised graphics and decals.
- Select suitable vinyl materials and other products according to the design and intended application.
- Measure and mark vehicle surfaces to ensure accurate positioning and alignment of graphics.
- Clean and prepare vehicle surfaces before applying graphics, stripes and decals.
- Apply vinyl graphics, lettering and decals using appropriate tools and installation techniques.
- Remove existing decals, stripes or vinyl graphics when required.




- Inspect completed installations for alignment, adhesion, air bubbles, imperfections and overall finish.
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and material handling requirements.
- Complete work within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards.

Qualification & experience

- Relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in signwriting, graphic production or vehicle graphics installation.
- Practical knowledge of vinyl cutting, graphic printing and decal application techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret artwork, measurements and customer specifications.
- Familiarity with graphic design software and vinyl cutting equipment is desirable.
- Solid attention to detail, accuracy and manual dexterity.
- Ability to measure, cut, position and apply graphics precisely to different vehicle surfaces.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
