You'll help clients meet their hair goals and create standout hair results using a comprehensive range of professional products, conduct personalised hair health consultations, build lasting client relationships, and stay ahead of trends.

Key responsibilities

Consulting with clients and providing professional advice on hair care, beauty products, treatments and hairstyles

Shampooing, conditioning and providing appropriate hair and scalp treatments

Cutting, trimming and styling hair using scissors, clippers, razors and professional styling tools

Colouring, highlighting, straightening and permanently waving hair using appropriate chemical products and techniques

Creating and maintaining braids, dreadlocks and hair extensions

Shaving and trimming beards and moustaches

Cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces where required

Maintaining high standards of salon hygiene, including cleaning work areas and sanitising tools and equipment

Managing client appointments, processing payments and delivering professional customer service

About you

Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification

Minimum three years of relevant experience in a commercial salon environment

Solid skills in hair cutting, colouring, styling and chemical treatments

Good knowledge of hair care products and ability to provide professional client advice

Strong attention to detail, hygiene and presentation

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A passion for current trends, techniques and beautiful results

Confidence mentoring or supporting junior team members

A professional, reliable and team-focused approach
