Our GP Medical Centre is currently seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Medical Receptionist on a casual basis (guaranteed at least 2 days a week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others while working as part of our friendly and supportive team. Whether you're an experienced receptionist or new to the field, we welcome your application.

Key Responsibilities

- Greeting patients and visitors, providing them with exceptional first impressions.
- Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling requests via phone, online, and in-person.
- Ensuring patient information is accurately entered and updated in our medical records system.
- Handling confidential information with discretion and in accordance with privacy laws.
- Processing billing and payments, including Medicare and Workcover/TAC claims.
- Providing administrative support to healthcare professionals as required.




- Maintaining a clean and welcoming reception area.

Requirements

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust organisational skills and ability to multitask.
- A positive, empathetic approach towards patients.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills and willingness to learn medical software (Medical Director/Pracsoft).
- Experience as a receptionist is appreciated but not essential – we can provide full training.
- Availability to work 2 - 4 days per week, including potential for early mornings or late evenings.
