About the Role

We are seeking an APS6 Quality Officer to support quality assurance and continuous improvement within a Federal Government early childhood branch.

You will review planning and decision-making, interpret legislation and policy, and provide advice on complex issues. Working with stakeholders and coaching team members, you will help improve the quality and consistency of decisions supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of early childhood planning and decision-making.
- Coach and mentor team members to strengthen technical skills, knowledge and decision-making.
- Support the development and implementation of improvement strategies aligned with branch objectives.




- Analyse data and track trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Engage and educate stakeholders to build understanding of early childhood planning.

Skills & Experience

- Experience in early childhood planning or working with children with disability; at least two years’ agency planning experience is desirable.
- Solid ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies, procedures and standards.
- Experience providing technical, professional, policy and operational advice on complex matters.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis to support informed decisions.
- Qualifications in allied health, education or disability are desirable.

Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.
