What we are looking for:

You will lead the Contracts section, overseeing procurement planning, tendering, constructability reviews and construction contract management. The role ensures robust commercial discipline, consistent contract practices, effective risk management and high-quality delivery outcomes. You will also provide strategic commercial and technical advice to the Executive Manager Capital Delivery.

What your day will look like:

- Lead procurement and delivery of externally contracted civil infrastructure projects.
- Manage tendering, scopes, estimates and contract documentation in line with legislation and policy.
- Oversee constructability reviews and pre-contract planning with design teams and stakeholders.
- Administer construction contracts, including Superintendent duties, managing performance, variations, claims, cost, time, quality and safety.
- Establish and maintain contract management frameworks that support consistency, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the Contracts team, managing priorities, capability and performance.

What you’ll need for success:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (AQF7+).




- Robust civil construction and contract management experience, including resolving complex constructability issues.
- Skilled in preparing specifications, BOQs, estimates and procurement documentation.
- Demonstrated client-side project management capability across scope, variations, budgets, programs, quality, safety and compliance.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, standards, procurement and contractual risk allocation.
- Proven leadership capability in a multidisciplinary environment.
