Job Description

Cook Fire Bean Pty ltd (Trading As Café Claremont) – Malvern, VIC 3144 We are a fast-paced, modern, seven-day café located in Malvern, within walking distance of the train station. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Cook to be part of our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook dishes according to our café menu.
- Assist Head Chef in food preparation of customer service as well as day to day prep
- Check ingredient quality and maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
- Prepare food to accommodate customers’ dietary requirements.
- Store food correctly and monitor stock levels.
- Assist with ordering ingredients and minimising food waste.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene requirements.

Skills and experience:

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent relevant experience.




- Experience working as a cook in a café or commercial kitchen.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Availability to work rostered shifts, including weekends.

What We Offer:

A market-competitive salary package: $79,500 – $80,000 per year + super. A full-time role with a balanced roster: Monday to Sunday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (approx. 38–40 hours weekly).
