About the role

We are seeking an experienced Migration Agent to join our legal team in Melbourne VIC 3000 on a full-time basis. As a Migration Agent, you will play a crucial role in providing expert migration law advice and representation to our diverse client base. This position is integral to our service delivery and contributes directly to our mission of providing high-quality migration solutions. You will work in our Melbourne office, with the flexibility to discuss any arrangements that may suit your work style and personal circumstances.

What you'll be doing

- Advising clients on migration options, visa pathways and eligibility requirements
- Preparing and lodging visa applications with the Department of Home Affairs
- Representing clients in migration matters and corresponding with relevant government authorities
- Drafting migration-related documents and legal correspondence
- Reviewing and analysing client documentation to identify legal issues and risks
- Maintaining accurate case files and client records in accordance with compliance requirements
- Providing strategic advice on complex migration matters to both individuals and corporate clients
- Keeping up to date with changes in migration law, policy and procedural requirements
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver consistent,



high-quality service to clients

What we're looking for

- Current registration as a Migration Agent with the Office of the Migration Agents' Registration Authority (OMARA)
- CHINESE SPEAKING and WRITING is A MUST SKILL
- Substantial experience in migration law and visa processing across a range of visa categories
- Strong knowledge of migration legislation, regulations and policy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Familiarity with case management systems and legal software
- Experience working in a law firm or legal department within a large organisation is desirable
- Knowledge of employment law and business migration matters is advantageous
