Wangaratta Accident Repair Specialists is seeking a skilled Automotive Parts Interpreter to join our team on a full-time basis in Wangaratta, VIC. This role is essential to our operations, serving as the critical link between our repair technicians, and suppliers. As an Automotive Parts Interpreter, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing, and interpreting vehicle components and parts specifications. Your expertise will ensure that our repair projects run smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our accident repair business.

Key Responsibilities

Order Management: Review repair blueprints and digital estimates to accurately source and order new genuine, OEM parallel, and recycled parts.

Receiving & Quality Control: Unpack, inspect, and mirror-match incoming parts against the damaged vehicles to ensure correct fitment and check for transit damage.

Workshop Distribution: Allocate, label, and organize parts into designated job bays for our Panel Beaters and Painters.

Supplier Coordination: Build strong relationships with suppliers, follow up on delayed orders, and promptly process returns and credits for incorrect or unused parts.

Inventory Control: Maintain an organized parts department and update our workshop management software in real time.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: Prior experience as a Parts Person, Parts Interpreter, or Storeperson within a smash repair, dealership, or automotive environment is highly regarded.

Tech Savvy: Ability to comfortably use workshop inventory systems (e.g., iBodyshop, Parts Check,



Repair Connection) and online supplier portals.

Eye for Detail: High accuracy in matching part numbers and identifying vehicle makes, models, and structural variants.

Team Player: Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with estimators, suppliers, and technicians in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Fitness: Capability to handle heavy automotive components (bumpers, panels, wheels) safely.
