With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are seeking a Team Leader to join their maintenance division, overseeing the presentation and horticultural maintenance of high-profile commercial and construction projects across Sydney.

This is not a landscape construction role. Instead, you’ll be responsible for the horticultural and general grounds maintenance work required to ensure newly completed projects are presented to the highest standard prior to handover. From planting maintenance and turf care through to site presentation and beautification works, no two days are the same.

The Role:

Working alongside one dedicated offsider, you will travel across Sydney maintaining and enhancing a variety of completed projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and supervising a small maintenance crew
- Horticultural maintenance of gardens, planting and landscaped areas
- Turf management and general grounds maintenance
- Pruning, mulching, weeding and planting care
- Site presentation and beautification works prior to client handover
- Operating and maintaining a range of landscaping equipment and machinery
- Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Liaising with internal project teams and site stakeholders
- Managing daily work schedules across multiple locations
- Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment supplied by the business

You will work across a diverse range of completed landscape and civil projects including:

- Commercial developments
- Public domain and streetscape projects
- Parks and recreational facilities
- Education facilities
- Community infrastructure projects
- Urban renewal developments
- High-profile Tier 1 construction sites
- Council and government projects

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Leading Hand or Senior Horticulturist
- Trade qualification in Horticulture (preferred)
- Alternatively, strong hands‑on horticulture and grounds maintenance experience
- Strong plant knowledge and general maintenance expertise
- Experience operating landscaping tools and machinery
- Ability to lead and motivate a small team
- Excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Full Australian Driver's Licence
- A flexible attitude towards travelling throughout the Sydney region

The Travel Component

This role covers the entire Sydney metropolitan area. One day you could be working five minutes from home, the next you could be travelling to the Northern Beaches, Campbelltown, Penrith or Western Sydney. In return, a fully maintained company vehicle, fuel card and toll pass are provided, allowing you to travel comfortably between sites without out‑of‑pocket expenses.
