Metroplant & Civil Services is hiring Concrete Saw Cutters, Concrete Grinders and General Laboure's to join our civil construction and maintenance crews.
Based in Sunshine, we’re looking for reliable people who take pride in their work, look after their equipment and work safely alongside others.
Positions available
Concrete Saw Cutters
We’re looking for experienced sawcutters who can work independently from day one. Duties include:
- Cutting concrete and asphalt using STIHL demolition saws, road saws and saw trolleys.
- Completing cutting work accurately to site requirements.
- Towing and manoeuvring a water trailer.
- Using a standpipe and managing the water supply for cutting.
- Completing daily equipment checks and following dust and slurry controls.
A company vehicle will be allocated for work use during the day. Applicants must be confident towing trailers and using the required equipment.
Concrete Grinders
Duties include:
- Carrying out concrete grinding works.
- Operating grinding equipment safely and achieving the required finish.
- Confidently towing and manoeuvring a trailer.
- Managing dust and keeping work areas tidy.
- Checking equipment and reporting faults.
- Working with supervisors and crews to complete allocated jobs.

General Labourers
Duties include:
- Assisting our civil construction and maintenance crews.
- Helping with site preparation, material handling and clean-up.
- Assisting with tools and equipment as directed.
- Following instructions and maintaining a protected, organised work area.
A truck licence is highly advantageous.

- A current White Card and driver’s licence.
- Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to contribute.
- A practical approach to safety and care of equipment.
- Good communication with supervisors and other crew members.
- Relevant experience for the position you’re applying for.

- A Sunshine base, working with our civil construction team.
