Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum General Medicine Consultant to support General Medicine services in Hunter New England.
This role is ideal for a consultant who needs locum work to fit around home life, with block bookings or versatile shifts to choose from.
Block bookings and flexible shifts are available for upcoming dates, with on-call support across a 24-hour period and rates of $2,000 per shift.

Clinical Environment
• Consultant-level General Medicine cover in a regional hospital setting
• Complex medical caseload across adult and older patients, acute admissions and multi-morbidity cases
• 24-hour clinical oversight, with consultant input across the rostered period
• Registrars rostered as first on-call during daytime hours
• Support from registrars, RMOs, nursing teams, allied health and established escalation pathways
• Clinical leadership, guiding and mentoring registrars and RMOs where required
• Ward rounds, management planning, documentation, handover and escalation as required

Requirements
• AHPRA Specialist Registration
• FRACP in General Medicine, or equivalent
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
• Willingness to complete hospital credentialing and onboarding

Location
This role is based in regional New South Wales, within Hunter New England. The area is roughly halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, with heritage charm, a food scene and national parks, waterfalls and gorges close by, which suits locum time that has to fit around family life.
