The Opportunity
Gorilla Jobs is seeking Locum General Medicine Doctors to support General Medicine services across NSW and WA.
This role suits doctors who enjoy acute and ward-based medicine, want flexible block options and are looking to balance locum work with study, family plans, travel or time off.
Choose short blocks, one to two-week rotations or repeating patterns built around your permanent roster, at $150 to $250 per hour, or up to $2,500 per day, for upcoming dates.

Clinical Environment
• Inpatient medicine exposure, including complex multi-morbidity, admissions and step-down care
• Acute care variety, with possible exposure to MAU, short stay, ED consults and medical specialty referrals
• Team-based ward work with medical, nursing and allied health staff
• Flexible regional options, so you can focus on one region or rotate between locations across the year

Requirements
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Australian working rights
• Recent hospital, General Medicine or acute care experience
• RMOs and SRMOs: AHPRA General Registration with recent hospital experience
• Registrars: PGY3 to PGY5+ with recent General Medicine, acute care or medical subspecialty experience at registrar level
• CMOs and Consultants: significant senior hospital experience, with FRACP or equivalent required for Consultant posts
• Comfortable working in regional or rural hospitals with defined support and escalation pathways
• Willingness to complete NSW and/or WA Health credentialing and compliance requirements

Referral Program
Also, if locum work isn’t for you at the moment but you know another doctor who may be interested, we do have a referral program. Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
